Westville's monthly special events typify activities that occurred in the mid 19th century Southern Town during that time of year. Although every day is a time for learning, fun and games at Westville, during the spring these activities are further emphasized with the addition of special programs and performers.

Spring Festival provides an opportunity for visitors to view crop plantings with mules, as well as musicians playing traditional instruments and school children in period dress attending 1850s style classes complete with slate boards and pencils.

During the summer, visitors look forward to participating in or watching 1860s vintage base ball including using rules, equipment and uniforms indicative of that period.

Another popular summer event is the Fourth of July celebration. The Independence Day celebration includes a barbeque, games such as the grease-pole climb, and blowing-sky-high-of the blacksmith's buried anvil.

With cooler weather and leaves changing colors, visitors anticipate Westville's fall events including its Harvest Festival which celebrates harvest-time activities with music and crafts. Among a variety of activities, visitors can watch sugar can being ground into syrup and cotton being separated from seed by Westville's mule-powered cotton gin believed to the the only in operation in the United States.

Completing the year of activities is the Yuletide Season celebration which last throughout December and includes a Christmas Decorating Workshop, Yule Log Ceremony, Christmas Tree Lightings, and the Burning of the Greens Ceremony.
