Yellow Fever Day
Saturday, October 13, 2007

There will be an outbreak of Yellow Fever in Westville Village on Saturday, October 13, and you are invited.

Westville, Georgia's Working 1850 Town, will present a day of programs exploring the historical strife and stresses of disease outbreaks. Yellow Fever, a dramatic summertime illness which scared all Nintheenth Century Americans, will be the focus of this month's "epidemic" in the Village.

The programs will be based on research into Yellow Fever scourges in the antebellum South. The Columbus State University Archives has assisted in this research, as has CSU historian John Lupold. Photos of Yellow Fever Day
